Gran Eléctrica: Napa's Newest Spot For Sunday Brunch

Gran Eléctrica: Napa's Newest Spot For Sunday Brunch

It’s hard to believe just last weekend we were enjoying brunch at Gran Electrica... what a week it has been, spending time with family and friends for thanksgiving ! If your family is still around, I’m sure you’re looking for new places to show them and or thinking ahead for the Christmas holiday visits. I was so pleased to discover the brunch menu at Gran Electrica and highly recommend putting it on your list for your next brunch gathering, dinner and or happy hour spot!

Gran Electrica opened less than a year ago to rave reviews, a sister restaurant to the original location in Brooklyn, New York. They are bringing a certain flair and expertise to the napa food scene that I haven’t seen in quite a while! They focus on bringing in local, seasonal ingredients, working with sustainable farmers throughout Northern California and making the best damn tacos you will eat in Napa! That’s not to say I don’t still love my taco trucks, but I am happy to know that supporting GE means I get to know exactly where my food is coming from and while growing a little human or not, that should be important to everyone!

Now for the details, when it comes to brunch items, they definitely focus on all things Mexican inspired: Chilaquiles (salsa verde simmered corn chips, sunny side up eggs, queso fresco, avocado, pickled red onion) $13, Huevos Rancheros (sunny side up eggs, refried black beans, avocado, salsa ranchera, queso fresco, tortillas) $13, Chorizo Con Huevos (house-made berkshire chorizo, crema, avocado, fried egg, house tortillas) $14 and of course TACOS! They have a nice mix of tacos: Carnitas (made from Berkshire pork), Chicken Tinga, Fish and Veggie. To compliment your breakfast they offer sides: Camotes (fried sweet potatoes with a delicious chipotle aioli) $6, Frijoles (Rancho Gordo black beans, jalepeno and queso fresco) $6 and my personal favorite, their housemade chips and guacamole ! I could have ate an entire side order myself!

Last but certainly not least we have to talk beverages...GE is known for their Margaritas, naturally, they should be, but what sets them apart from the main stream Margarita is the creative mixologists behind the bar, choose whatever top shelf tequila your heart desires because they probably carry it and they will make you a margarita like never before..I cannot wait to go back again, not pregnant and ready to party! For this trip I stuck with their delicious french press coffee, comes served in the CUTEST coffee mug ever, we all wanted to take them home ! They also had a selection of different juices and speciality hot chocolate...I almost went for that but needed my once daily caffeine fix - I cannot wait to return and try out their whole menu! Make sure to check out their menu HERE and make reservations to check them out for your next brunch outing!
