Opening Day On The Bay at Servino Ristorante in Tiburon CA.
Opening Day On The Bay is an historic annual event that celebrates the San Francisco Bay reopening for the summer boating season. Of course boats sail in and out of the bay every day of the year, but if you’re from here you know that the warmer temperatures make the bay that much more pleasant when your being splashed by water that is still only 50 degrees. Lucky for us Servino Ristorante sits on the warmer edges of Tiburon and looks towards San Francisco’s gorgeous cityscape. You get the best of both worlds; water and city views + it’s always 15-20 degrees warmer once you cross over the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County.
In college I spent a lot of time in Marin County and never did I make it to Servino, which is a downright shame ! The views off of the patios are seriously priceless postcard views you cannot make up. The food they have been serving for the last forty years, very classic Italiana, is to die for! Not to mention the efforts they go to to accommodate all types of diets; gluten free, vegetarian, vegan even !
Every quarter I try and organize a “Blogger Brunch” with local influencers from the Napa/Sonoma/SF Bayarea. It’s a time for us to touch base and reconnect with those we see online but don’t get to see as much in person. Servino Ristorante was gracious enough to open their doors to 20 of us to come and enjoy their patio for the afternoon. We were treated to a selection of pizza’s, both regular and gluten free, pastas of the same variety, salads and tiramisu for dessert !
To compliment the foods we also got to taste a selection of wines served by the restaurant, I particularly enjoyed the Kendall Jackson Sauvignon Blanc with the Mushroom Ravioli above! In addition to food and wine, we were treated to some amazing goodies from local vendors who sponsored our Brunch. Thank you Code To Canvas and their adorable owner for coming out to show us how our new horoscope keychains work, they are 24 carat gold plated and the perfect compliment to my keychain situation! I also have to shout out Miner Family Winery who provided each blogger with a bottle of their 2017 Gibson Ranch Rosato, Fuego Box for their delicious “Spicy” Honey which is made from the hottest pepper in the world .. it gets progressively spicier the longer you have it ! Woah. Lastly but not least, Caffe Acri for their generous gift card - I forgot to get my coffee that day, but better believe I’ll be back for the views and my coffee !
Thank you to Servino Ristorante for sponsoring our Spring Blogger Brunch! I can’t wait to bring my hubby back for a date night !
