How I Stay On Track For A Busy Fall With Jord Watches
Fall is undoubtedly the most busy season for me and the rest of the Napa Valley. It’s considered our “busy season,” because it’s harvest, tourists love to see wineries in action, our hotels are packed in addition to our tasting rooms. This doesn’t mean the rest of my responsibilities stop, it just means I have to get crafty and stay on track with all of my responsibilities!
In addition to running my blog, I also have a full time job at Silver Trident Winery and own a networking organization called BANG (By Appointment Networking Group). I host events 1-2 a month for BANG and I’m the Director of Membership & Events for Silver Trident Winery. I need to stay on track of my day, sometimes down to the half hour, not even just hour. Having my Jord Watch which is stylish, yet functional helps me when I’m hosting a tasting, knowing my timing, so I can give people a great experience but ensure they are finished and out the door by the next tasting appointment. Additionally when I’m hosting an event for BANG, we have 1.5 hours and have to ensure everyone gives speeches and we welcome the group within the first 30 minutes and I keep everyone on track. This can be tough and you don’t want to seem rude whipping out your cell phone constantly to check the time, especially at a networking event, people may assume you’re not interested in their conversation and or same thing with the guests I’m hosting during a wine tasting. Having my Jord Watch right there allows me to keep a sly eye on the time. I actually get a lot of questions about my watch and I love the fact that it’s made of wood, so different from all other watches I own! Last February I teamed up with Jord as a surprise gift for my husband for Valentine’s Day, he wears his Jord Watch daily and I’ll be honest I was pretty jealous he got a watch and I didn’t, so having my own finally so we can twin, is everything!
