Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa: The New Way To Relax In Calistoga
If you have yet to venture up to Calistoga, you really should, like now! If you do, you will have barely experienced it before it becomes a play ground for even more tourists and big names! We have a lot of construction going on between the Rosewood Hotel Group resort being built on Diamond Mountain (west side of Calistoga) and then the Four Seasons is building just across from Solage Resort (east side of calistoga). Regardless of these big name hotels coming to town, there will always be a place for the boutique hotels and spas ! I was delighted to see the Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa take over the old Sunburst property. They have given the once forgotten Hotel, a fabulous facelift and a Spa experience unlike one I have yet to experience in Napa.
MoonAcre Spa is my new favorite place! They have the best interior and exterior design I have seen in a great while! Taking from Palm Springs and its mid century modern decor style, they created a cool, hip and seriously relaxing locale.
I was treated to two services: The Good Hydration Facial and the Perfectly Muddled DIY Mud Bar. The mud bar was fun and would be especially good for those too scared to try calistogas famous “mud baths,” which some deem unsanitary! Not sure how someone immersing them self in mud should be worried about it truly being sanitary or not LOL. At MoonAcre you can paint yourself, let it dry and then rinse off in their outdoor showers !
If your traveling with a group of gals, this would be a fun place to go for a group mud bar and soak in their geo thermal springs... facials galore and specialty massages ! My favorite part was the super hydrating facial I received. My face had never felt better and it was so relaxing I almost fell asleep! They extracted my blackheads, applied a peel and a million different vitamins and enzymes.. I seriously wish I could have a facial everyday!
In fact they are running a special for anyone within a 50 mile radius to help give back during the aftermath of the wildfires, enjoy $70 massages and facials ! Also only $10 add for the mud bar and use of their spa for 2 hours prior to service ! Girls trip? I think so ! I plan to make an appointment and go take advantage while it still lasts !
Even if you can’t make it this month, definitely add MoonAcre Spa to your list to visit !
