The Plumpjack Group strikes again! This time they have taken an adorable motel and transformed it into a luxury stop over The Getaway for anyone coming to Carmel by the Sea! We were fortunate to get a sneak peak and we loved all of the signature PlumpJack touches! The decor was stunning and perfectly detailed all the way down to the bathroom tile that had me wanting to HGTV the shit out of my own bathroom. They offered a complimentary breakfast set up including; breakfast burritos, waffles, pastries, cereals, fruit, fresh juice and coffee.. why would you need to go anywhere else? The evenings are filled with endless glasses (from 4-6 pm) of prosecco, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon + light snacks. Yes you can win over my heart by giving me free kettle chips.. I am a simple women!

Yountville CA: The Northblock Hotel

Yountville has held the cache of being “the place to stay” when visiting the Napa Valley for a long time. They were quick to jump on the hotel train and offer most of their retail space to tasting rooms and restaurants vs traditional businesses (I mean those are traditional for our town!). If you step into Yountville, it’s almost like stepping into Pleasantville from the movie. They have a free trolly that runs through town you can jump onto to get to and from your next wine tasting.. free anything seems like a bygone era, so it’s a nice touch when your paying a pretty penny to stay and dine! Speaking of hotels, I recently got to stay at the North Block Hotel in Yountville and it was seriously like being transported to Tuscany with the design of the space and the little balcony feature in our room. We loved the architecture, the decor and especially the staff.

Tampa FL: Everything You Want To Know!

Tampa was such a blast! Albeit I was there for mostly just work with the winery I work for, Silver Trident Winery. I had 3 dinner's organized at people's homes in the area and then had a lunch planned for our wine club members in Fort Lauderdale. It was a whirlwind weekend of mostly work, but I managed to fit in some exploring as well! We heard that the Hyde Park Village was a fun area for shopping and food! We decided to check it out and were lucky to find Bar Taco, a casual american-mexican fare restaurant. They had AMAZING drinks, like seriously amazing drinks and then the food was really good too! We had a selection of their street tacos, posole, elotes, guacamole/chips and cucumber salad. It was fresh and the price was right, the service was excellent. I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

It’s hard to believe just last weekend we were enjoying brunch at Gran Electrica... what a week it has been, spending time with family and friends for thanksgiving ! Tra Vigne Pizzeria has been open for almost 30 years. Located in the heart of St. Helena, across the street from uber famous Gotts Roadside and next door to Merryvale Vineyards, they’re in prime location for visitors passing through town and or staying in St. Helena ! I highly recommend making a specific trip up to taste their latest creations, because they are absolutely slaying the pizza game! After Tra Vigne Restaurant closed two years ago, Executive Chef Anthony “Nash” Cognetti came over to the pizzeria to take over the culinary program and works closely with Chef de Cuisine, Maria Nuno, daughter of David Nuno who earned his stripes as Sous Chef of Tra Vigne Restaurant for many years. She has worked for both the pizzeria and restaurant since she was 16 years old, she knows the traditional recipes and is helping to cultivate the new era of what is now Tra Vigne Pizzeria!

Opening Day On The Bay is an historic annual event that celebrates the San Francisco Bay reopening for the summer boating season. Of course boats sail in and out of the bay every day of the year, but if you’re from here you know that the warmer temperatures make the bay that much more pleasant when your being splashed by water that is still only 50 degrees. Lucky for us Servino Ristorante sits on the warmer edges of Tiburon and looks towards San Francisco’s gorgeous cityscape. You get the best of both worlds; water and city views + it’s always 15-20 degrees warmer once you cross over the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County.
